Evening talk series 2.0: are we really what we eat?

manly42 had a great time hosting our expert panel to discuss nutrition and wellness on Tuesday 21 September @rubylanewholefoods in Manly.

Some highlights from our engaging and heartfelt discussion…

  • Sammy – Shared natural nutritional support and Tao principles. You can eat kuzu root for lung congestion, ginger for circulation and recovery and oshiplums for sore throats and grounding.

  • Phil – Reflected on how his challenges with gut health became his teacher, helping him listen to his body through regular check-ups with a nutritionist, blood tests and nutritional guidance. His obstacle became his way by opening Ruby Lane almost 10 years ago to share his passion for healthy food with others.

  • Laura – Recommended daily fermented foods, pairing protein with vitamin C for absorption and including healthy fats such as avocado, oils and nuts. Cheese and kimchi can be a great combo as a healthy snack.

  • Angela – Spoke on homeopathy, the principle that internal health is reflected externally and the need to be mindful in order to embrace emotions, rather than suppress them with comfort foods and overeating.

A huge thank you to our incredible panel for generously sharing their expertise, time and energy over the past few weeks and especially on Tuesday with our audience. We are deeply grateful and came away with so many valuable insights. They are all based on the Northern Beaches if you’d like to follow up with them for further information or nutritional support 💚
